New UEFA Europa League Format

The new Europa League format features a significant alteration in the group stage, transitioning into a single 36-team League stage. Every team will compete against eight different opponents (four at home, four away). The top eight teams will progress directly to the round of 16, while teams ranking from ninth to 24th will compete in knockout round play-offs. The winners of these play-offs will advance to the last 16. Subsequently, the competition will follow a straight knockout format.
